The Omron DRT2-OD16-1 is a PLC expansion module providing 16 transistor outputs, designed to expand the I/O capacity of Omron PLC systems. Transistor outputs switch DC loads directly — no interposing relay needed for solenoids, indicator lamps, or small contactors in the same control cabinet, provided the load current stays within the output's rated drive capability.
As a PLC expansion module, the DRT2-OD16-1 mounts directly alongside the CPU rack or on a remote I/O node, occupying one slot in the backplane.
