The Omron E2A-M30KS15-WP-D1 2M is an M30 shielded inductive proximity sensor with a 15 mm sensing distance, part of the E2A Extended Range series. Output is 2-wire DC normally open, rated for 12–24 VDC supply. That means two wires carry both power and the switching signal – simple to wire, but check the load current against the sensor’s off-state leakage (not listed here; the datasheet covers it).
Mounting & Physical
Mounts using the M30x1 threaded body or a bracket with a 30 mm hole. Overall length 65 mm, threaded portion 44 mm. Case is nickel-plated brass; cable is PVC, 2 m long. Shielded construction limits the sensing field to the face, so flush mounting in metal is fine – no derating for adjacent steel.
