Flush-Mount M18 Inductive Sensor for Washdown Zones
The Omron E2AS18KS08WPB12MOMS is an M18 flush-mount inductive sensor from the E2A series, rated for 8 mm sensing distance at 500 Hz switching frequency. Its stainless steel housing and IP67 / IP69K protection rating make it a direct fit for high-pressure washdown environments, such as food and beverage processing lines where corrosion resistance is critical. The NO output switches a 200 mA load across a 10–32 VDC supply with a 500 Hz repeat rate, adequate for position sensing on fast conveyor or indexing tables.

The housing is stainless steel versus brass, and the termination is a prewired 3-pin stranded cable rather than a M12 connector, which affects replacement labor and wiring style. The larger M18 body and flush-mount hole pattern (24 mm square cross-section) will not drop into a panel designed for the M12 form factor (17 mm square) without adapter or rework.
