What it is and what it does
This E2B-S08KN04-WP-B1 2M is an Omron 8mm diameter inductive proximity sensor, unshielded, with a 4mm sensing distance. It's a PNP normally open output, pre-wired with a 2-meter PVC cable. The short-body stainless steel housing fits tight panel spaces and resists corrosion in washdown or oily environments. The unshielded design means you get the full 4mm sensing range without needing a flush mount, but keep in mind it may be affected by nearby metal. Use it for part detection, position sensing, or end-of-travel on small actuators.
