Key ratings and what they mean
The E2B-S08KS01-WP-B1 2M is a shielded sensor with 1.5 mm sensing distance, PNP normally open output, and pre-wired 2 meter PVC cable. For reference, the E2C-X1R5AH is also a 1.5 mm shielded sensor but it is a separate sensor head requiring a dedicated amplifier unit (E2C-AM4A or E2C-AK4A). The E2C body is brass with PEEK face, and its operating temperature reaches 200°C. The E2B series sensor is a self-contained unit; it will not drop into an E2C wiring scheme without adding the amplifier and rewiring the cable. If the panel was specified around E2C-X1R5AH, expect a full rework of the sensor chain.
