Sensor fit and mounting note
The Omron E2BM18KN10M1B1OMI is an M18 non-flush inductive proximity sensor from the E2B series, delivering a 10 mm sensing distance with a PNP normally-open output. Non-flush mounting means the sensor face needs a clearance zone around it in the target material — the full 10 mm range is only achieved when the sensor is not embedded in metal. The brass housing and IP67 rating make it suitable for washdown areas on packaging or material handling lines where coolant or moisture is present. Switching frequency is 400 Hz, adequate for counting applications on moderate-speed conveyors but not for high-speed spindle or cam detection. The M12 4-pin connector simplifies field replacement — no need to re-terminate cable inside the panel, just unplug and swap. Supply range is 10–30 VDC, with a 200 mA load current capacity that directly drives most PLC inputs or small relays without an interposing interface.
