Tight Footprint, Fast Switching
The Omron E2E-CR8C1 is a compact 4mm-diameter inductive proximity sensor rated for 0.8mm sensing distance on ferrous metal targets, with a 3 kHz response frequency suited for high-speed counting or position detection. Runs on 12-24 VDC (10-30 VDC range) and draws 17 mA max, making it a light load for a 24V supply bus.
Not a Capacitive Swap
This sensor detects ferrous metal only, with a set distance of 0 to 0.5 mm. It will not work as a drop-in replacement for the E2KQ-X10ME1 capacitive sensor, which picks up non-ferrous materials at longer range.
