5 mm barrel, 1.2 mm gap — tight-fit detection
The E2E-S05S12-MC-C1 is a shielded, small-diameter proximity sensor in a 5 mm threaded barrel (threaded OD 5 mm, cylindrical OD 5.4 mm). The 1.2 mm sensing range means it detects ferrous targets at very close proximity — useful for cam detection, end-of-stroke on small actuators, or counting parts on a narrow conveyor where the target passes within a couple of millimetres of the face. Shielding (S code) concentrates the field at the front face, so the sensor can be flush-mounted in metal without false triggering from the surrounding material. The stainless steel (SUS) case resists corrosion in washdown or food-processing environments where a plated brass barrel would pit over time.
