5 mm Shielded Proximity Switch
The Omron E2E-S05S12-WC-B1-R 2M is a 5 mm diameter shielded threaded proximity switch with a 1.2 mm sensing distance, PNP normally open output, and a 2 m pre-wired bend-resistant cable. Used for ferrous metal detection in automated machinery and conveyor systems.
Mounting and Output
Shielded construction allows flush mounting in metal panels without derating the sensing distance. The 3-wire PNP NO output interfaces directly with standard PLC sinking inputs; no pull-up resistor needed. Consider the E2C-X1R5AH only if the application requires higher thermal tolerance and a different mounting footprint is acceptable.
