The OMRON E2E-X10MY1-US 2M is an AC 2-wire inductive proximity sensor with a 10 mm unshielded sensing range, normally open switching output, and a 2 meter PVC cable. The UL certification is standard for this model. It detects ferrous and non-ferrous metals at the rated distance, but unshielded means the sensing field extends laterally — watch for side-target interference in tight panel layouts.

Not a drop-in for capacitive or DC sensors

The E2KQ-X10ME1 is a capacitive sensor with a 3-wire NPN DC output — different sensing technology and wiring.
