The Omron E2E-X16MB218 2M is an inductive proximity switch from the E2E NEXT series, in an M18 unshielded body with a 16 mm sensing range and a PNP normally closed output, wired via a 2-meter PVC cable.
Sensing and wiring detail
Unshielded construction means the sensor can be flush-mounted in metal without derating. The 16 mm sensing range is generous for an M18 inductive — enough for non-ferrous targets at standard gap. Output is PNP normally closed (load switched when target is absent), DC 3-wire. Standard oscillation frequency, no IO-Link, so this is a plain digital sensor. Cable is 2-meter PVC, standard length for quick termination in a junction box or M12 pigtail adapter. Body is standard length M18, fits existing brackets and clamp mounts.
