Will it drop into another sensor's spot?
I see the E2C-X1R5AH you're looking at — that's a heat-resistance model, 1.5 mm sensing instead of 1 mm, and it ships with a 3-meter cable instead of 2. The mounting thread might be the same M8, but the different sensing distance means you'd have to re-zero your target gap; the longer cable adds slack you don't need. It's not a direct panel swap without re-terminating the wire and adjusting the bracket. Stick with the E2E-X1C2 2M if the original spec calls for 1 mm and NC output — fewer headaches out here in the grease.
