Omron E2E-X1R5B1D8 5M is an M8 shielded inductive proximity sensor from the E2E NEXT series. It detects ferrous targets up to 1.5 mm away with a PNP normally-open output, rated for 10 to 30 VDC supply. IP67, IP67G, and IP69K ratings make it suitable for high-pressure washdown environments; the stainless steel (SUS303) body and PBT sensing face withstand aggressive cleaning cycles. IO-Link COM2 communication enables parameter adjustment and diagnostic feedback beyond simple presence detection.

The E2E-X1R5B1D8 5M terminates in a 5 m PVC cable, while its direct sibling E2E-X1R5B1D8-M1 uses an M12 quick-disconnect connector. All other ratings—1.5 mm sensing range, PNP NO, shielded, IP69K, M8 body—are identical. Choosing between them depends on panel wiring preference: cabled for fixed installations or connector for serviceable spots.
