Product details

The Omron E2E-X1R5E1-M1 is a shielded M12 proximity sensor rated for 1.5 mm sensing distance, NPN normally open output, and DC 3-wire connection. The shield limits the detection field to the face, making it suitable for flush mounting in metal where you need to avoid false triggers from adjacent metal. Output is normally open — the NPN transistor pulls low when a ferrous target enters the 1.5 mm window. No self-diagnosis on board, so if the sensor fails you won’t get a flag from the sensor itself; plan for external monitoring or periodic checks in safety-related runs. M12 connector for field wiring. Standard frequency oscillator.
