Omron E2E-X20MD1-M1GJ 0.3M is an inductive proximity switch from the E2E/E2E NEXT series. It senses ferrous targets at 20 mm unshielded – that range gives you a solid air gap for detection on a conveyor or machine slide. The output is DC 2-wire normally open, so you've got power and signal on the same two wires; it's a common configuration for PLC DI cards that sink current. The 0.3 meter PVC cable is pre-wired to an M12 connector – short, but fine for a local panel mount where the sensor is within a foot of the I/O drop. No extra splicing needed; just plug into a standard M12 socket.
