What this sensor delivers
The Omron E2E-X23C130-M1TJ 0.3M is an M30 shielded inductive proximity sensor with a 23 mm sensing range, NPN normally open output, and IP69K ingress protection, making it suited for washdown environments in food and beverage or automotive lines. Runs on 10–30 VDC, 3-wire DC supply. The 4x sensing factor gives you 23 mm reach from a short-body M30 — enough headroom for standard metal target detection without false triggers from ferrous debris. Connection is a 0.3 m M12 pigtail with Smartclick locking collar — no tool needed for install, and the short lead keeps the junction box clean on tight panels.
Installation constraints
Shielded design allows flush mounting in metal. M30 threaded barrel, 38 mm threaded length, 60.3 mm overall. Nickel-plated brass housing and PBT sensing face handle caustic washdown chemistry if the cable connector is properly torqued. IP67, IP67G, and IP69K ratings cover the sensor body. The M12 Smartclick connector needs to be fully seated to maintain the IP69K seal — that's the only point that can leak if rushed.
