Product details

The E2E-X2MC28-M5 is an M8 threaded cylinder, unshielded inductive sensor from the E2E NEXT series. It detects ferrous metal at 2 mm and switches NPN-NC — the output is ON when no target is present and turns OFF when the target enters the sensing range. Powered from 10 to 30 VDC, it's rated IP67 and IP69K so it handles washdown environments without needing an extra enclosure.

The M8 threaded barrel mounts through a standard 8 mm hole with a lock nut. Because it's unshielded, avoid flush-mounting in steel. The connector termination (M8, 3-pin) lets you pre-wire the cable and swap sensors quickly on the line. Response frequency of 1 kHz from the inductive sensor.
