The Omron E2E-X4B1T12 5M is a shielded M12 inductive proximity switch from the E2E NEXT series. It offers a 4 mm sensing range with a PNP normally open output, 3-wire DC configuration, and a 5 m PVC cable. IO-Link communication at 230.4 kbps is built in.
Shielded: the sensing field projects from the front face only, allowing flush mounting in metal without detecting side objects. Typical for M12, 4 mm is the standard sensing distance for a shielded version – sufficient for detecting small ferrous targets at close range. PNP normally open: the output switches high when a target enters the 4 mm zone.
