The E2E-X4MB1T8-M5 is an M8 unshielded inductive sensor from Omron's current-production E2E NEXT series. It detects ferrous and non-ferrous metals at 4 mm with a 1 kHz response rate – enough for cam and position sensing on a compact assembly cell. The body is nickel-plated brass, IP67 and IP69K rated, so it survives high-pressure washdown cycles if mated to an equally-rated connector and cable. Supply voltage is 10–30 VDC, and the PNP-NO output is the common choice for sinking PLC inputs.
