What it is and what it does
The Omron E2E-X6B1D12 5M is a shielded inductive proximity sensor from the E2E NEXT series, packaged in an M12 threaded nickel-plated brass cylinder. It detects ferrous targets at a 6 mm (0.236") range and outputs a PNP-NO signal over three wires. The sensor operates on 10–30 VDC and is rated IP67 and IP69K, so it resists high-pressure washdown environments.
