The Omron E2E-X7D212-T 2M is a shielded M12 inductive proximity switch from the E2E NEXT series, sensing 7 mm on ferrous targets with a normally closed DC 2-wire output. No polarity on the wires means you can land them without caring about +/—, and the shielded barrel lets you flush-mount it into steel panels without derating the sensing distance. PVC cable runs 2 m, standard body length. Rated for DC 2-wire control circuits; the normally closed output opens on power loss or target absent, which is a handy fail-safe for stop-on-error logic in packaging or conveyor zones.
