This is an Omron E2E NEXT M18 shielded proximity switch — the E2E-X8B1T18 5M. It's a PNP normally-open DC 3-wire sensor with an 8 mm shielded sensing range, terminated in a 5-meter PVC cable. The shielded barrel lets you flush-mount it in metal without losing detection distance. IO-Link at 230.4 kbps gives you parameter readback and diagnostics over the same three wires; handy when you need to verify sensing thresholds without climbing a ladder.
