What it is and what it does
The E2E-X9C112 2M is an Omron E2E NEXT series shielded M12 inductive proximity sensor. It detects ferrous and nonferrous metal targets at a rated 9 mm distance, outputting a DC 3-wire NPN signal that goes high when the target is present (normally open). The 2-meter PVC cable and standard body length simplify drop-in replacement on existing tooling or new panel layouts. The shielded construction allows flush mounting through metal plates without compromising detection range.
