The Omron E2E2-X10B2 2M is a shielded inductive proximity sensor with a 10 mm sensing range on mild steel. It provides a PNP normally-open (NO) output, which means the output switches high (sourcing) when a target enters the detection zone — the standard interface for most PLC digital inputs.
As a shielded sensor, the E2E2-X10B2 2M can be flush-mounted in metal without derating the sensing distance — critical for tight mounting grids in machine frames or conveyor rails. The 2-meter cable is pre-attached, so no separate connector is needed; just route and terminate. The sensor is designed for industrial environments, with a housing that withstands washdown and coolant splash — suitable for wet areas on a production line.
