Integrator's note — what fits and what doesn't
The E2EL-C2F1-DS 2M is a shielded M12 proximity sensor with a 2 mm sensing distance — that's the effective range for a standard ferrous target. PNP normally open output, so it pulls the output high when metal enters the field. Smooth barrel and 2 m pre-wired cable; no connector, so factor in the cable entry if you're swapping a connectorised sensor. The stainless steel housing (double-distance construction) holds up in washdown zones or where abrasive particles are present.
How it stacks against the E2C-X1R5AH
The E2C-X1R5AH is a heat-resistance sensor head that requires an amplifier; it has M8 thread, 1.5 mm sensing distance, and 200 °C ambient rating. The E2EL-C2F1-DS 2M is a standalone PNP sensor with 2 m cable and smooth barrel.
Mounting and wiring checklist
Shielded flush-mount design: no derating when embedded in metal. The 2 m cable is PVC-jacketed and features PNP output; verify PLC input type.
