Omron E2EL-X4E1-DL 2M Proximity Sensor, Shielded 4mm

The Omron E2EL-X4E1-DL 2M is a shielded proximity sensor with a 4 mm sensing distance and NPN normally open output, built into a threaded barrel with a 2 m cable. The shielding is what you want when mounting flush in steel — it keeps the sensor from getting fooled by the metal around it. This variant carries the 'double distance, long barrel' option, which gives you 4 mm of reach in a package that normally does 2 mm, and the extra barrel length helps when you're running the sensor through a thick bracket or panel. The NPN output sinks to ground on detection, so it plays nicely with most sinking PLC inputs. The NO configuration means the output closes when the target comes into range.
