Field Fit and Wiring Note
Shielded construction allows flush mounting in metal without derating the sensing distance. The NPN output sinks to ground on detection — verify your PLC or relay input is sourcing type. The normally-open configuration is the standard for presence detection; if your application requires NC, this variant won't swap without changing the logic or adding an inverter.
