Short-body M8 shielded prox with weld-spatter protection
The Omron E2EQ-X2C28-M1TJ 0.3M is a short-body M8 proximity sensor from the E2EQ NEXT series, designed to withstand slag and weld spatter in robotic welding or foundry cells while delivering the same extended sensing performance as the standard E2E NEXT line. Output is NPN normally closed on a 3-wire DC supply (10 to 30 VDC). The 0.3 m pigtail terminates in an M12 Smartclick connector for quick field replacement. Ingress protection carries both IP67 and the more stringent IP67G rating, meaning it resists oil and coolant ingress common in machine tool environments.
Shielded construction and 2 mm sensing distance suit flush mounting in steel or aluminum fixtures; the short threaded length (22 mm) leaves room for sensor clusters on compact turrets. The fluororesin coating on both the stainless-steel case (SUS303) and the sensing face prevents molten metal adhesion that would blind a standard sensor. Compared to the uncoated E2E NEXT sibling, this is the variant to spec when the sensor sits near a welding torch or die-cast shot. NPN normally closed output works with sinking PLC inputs common in Asian-sourced controllers; NC logic provides a safe state if the cable breaks.
Let me be transparent: the same part carries different factory markings depending on the production site, but the specs and performance are identical. Warranty is global; region-specific packaging may vary. Quote against an RFQ includes a clear origin statement so your quality team has the traceability they need.
