The Omron E2ES05S12MCB2OMS is an M5 cylindrical inductive sensor from the E2E series, designed for flush mounting in metal. Its 1.2 mm sensing distance means it detects ferrous targets only at very close range — suitable for end-of-stroke or presence detection in compact assemblies where the target passes within that gap. The PNP break contact (NC) output switches off when the target is present; for audit purposes, confirm that the load side expects a normally-closed signal that opens on detection. Switching frequency is rated at 4 kHz, which supports fast-moving targets such as those on a small indexing dial or high-speed pick-and-place gripper.
