The Omron E2EW-X20C130 5M is an M30 shielded inductive proximity sensor with a sensing distance of 20 mm, rated IP67 for washdown environments. It outputs NPN normally-open signals over a 3-wire DC supply from 10 to 30 VDC, terminated in a 5 m PVC cable. The stainless steel (SUS303) face and body make it weld-field immune, and it detects both aluminum and iron at the same range—no derating for non-ferrous targets. Overall length is 41.5 mm with 30 mm of threaded body; the M30 standard thread mounts directly into existing brackets or tapped holes. The 3x sensing range factor means it can be mounted farther from steel targets than a standard shielded sensor of the same size.
Fit & Wiring
Three-wire DC configuration: brown to positive (10-30 VDC), blue to common, black to the NPN NO output. Connect to a sinking PLC input. The 5 m cable length gives slack for panel routing; if a shorter lead is needed, splice at the sensor end—the PVC jacket is rated for industrial environments. The IP67 seal holds up to coolant splash and hose-down, but verify the mating connector if used with a quick-disconnect; this variant is fixed-cable.
