The Omron E2EX10MY12MOMS is an M18 non-flush inductive proximity sensor from the E2E-X family, wired normally open. It detects ferrous metals at up to 10 mm with a 10 % repeat accuracy, switching at 25 Hz. The supply range is 20–264 VAC/VDC, and it handles a continuous load current of 300 mA. Housed in a brass barrel, IP67, with a 2-metre PVC cable termination. The housing material and sealing make it a straightforward fit in wet or dusty sections of a production line — machining cells, conveyor transfer points, or packaging wrap stations.
The closest peer sharing the same dimensions, electrical ratings, and mounting style is the E2EX10MY22MOMS — same everything except output logic: that one is normally closed. If your panel was designed around the NC version, swapping in this NO sensor means rewiring the load circuit or adjusting the PLC input logic. Physically it's a direct drop-in — 29 mm hex body, same cable exit. The NC sibling is an option if you need fail-safe closed on power loss. For a smaller target or tighter space, the M12 version (E2EX5MY12MOMS) gives 5 mm range in a 21 mm barrel, but drops to 200 mA load and is also NO. It uses the same cable and voltage range, just a different thread size.
Non-flush mount requires clearance around the barrel; body width is 29 mm. Peer E2EX5Y1M1OMS uses M12 connector.
Switching frequency is 25 Hz, suitable for slow-moving targets.
