Product details

The Omron E2EX10Y1 (model E2E-X10Y1) is an AC inductive proximity switch for detecting ferrous metal targets. It offers a nominal sensing distance of 10 mm with a usable set range of 0 to 8 mm. Rated for 24 to 240 V AC supply, it switches up to 100 mA with a maximum leakage current of 1.7 mA. The normally open or normally close output is selectable depending on wiring. Housing is nickel-plated brass with IP67 sealing, pre-wired with a 2-meter oil-resistant PVC cable. Ambient temperature range spans -40 to 85 °C.

Frequently asked questions

When sourcing E2EX10Y1, what is the closest functional second-source like E3Z-LL61?

The E3Z-LL61 is a photoelectric sensor that operates on 12-24 VDC and uses light reflection, not induction. It is not a direct functional replacement for the E2EX10Y1 because of different sensing principles and power supply requirements.

Will E2EX10Y1 drop into a panel that was specified around E3Z-LL61 without rewiring?

No. The E3Z-LL61 runs on 12-24 VDC and is photoelectric; the E2EX10Y1 runs on 24-240 V AC and is inductive. Panel wiring, power supply, and control logic would all need to change.
