Integrator's note
The Omron E2EX16MB1TL182MOMS is an M18 inductive proximity sensor in the E2E-Next series, built as a non-flush, 16 mm snout with a PNP normally-open output and a 2 m integral cable. Switching frequency is rated at 400 Hz and the operating envelope runs from -40 °C to 85 °C, so it keeps up with high-cycle target motion and tolerates unheated cabinets or engine-room mounting. The housing is brass with a nickel-plated finish, sealed to IP67, IP67G, and IP69K on a single body rating block — fine for washdown cells and outdoor skids where the same sensor has to live.
What the ratings decide
The 16 mm maximum sensing distance is the non-flush figure, so mounting clearance to surrounding metal matters: respect the non-flush correction factor when siting it near brackets or other sensors. 200 mA load current is the ceiling the buyer plans against — it covers small solenoid valves, indicator lamps, and PLC inputs without an interposing relay. IP67/IP67G/IP69K on a single device covers submersion, oil ingress, and high-pressure, high-temperature jet spray, which is why this body style is common in food-grade and mobile-equipment panels.
Where this class sits
The E2E-Next series is an inductive proximity line from Omron for general-purpose detection on industrial automation panels and field wiring.
Comparison against same-family siblings
Versus the E2EX16MB1T182MOMS in the same series and output class, the only meaningful delta is the body length: this code is 77.3 mm long on the cable end while the 2 m cable sibling measures 55.3 mm — pick this one when the pigtail needs to clear a deeper gland or threaded boss. The E2EX16MB1TL18M1OMS in the same output class drops the cable for an M12 4-pin connector and shortens the body to 75 mm; it is a wiring topology swap, not a rating change, so a panel cut around the cable style cannot take the connector version without re-terminating. The E2EX16MB1T185MOMS keeps the 2 m cable format and only extends the lead to 5 m, which is a reach decision, not a fit decision.
