Compact inductive sensor for sanitary washdown zones
The E2EX1R5B1T8M3OMS: Flush-mount M8 stainless steel housing that stands up to high-pressure caustic cleaning. Rated IP67 and IP69K, so it takes the hot washdown cycle without sealing failures. Sensing distance is 1.5 mm — tight for precision positioning, but the flush mounting lets you set it in a machined pocket without an air gap. Switching frequency hits 1.5 kHz, fast enough for counting applications at line speed. Load current is 2.2 A, which is unusually high for an inductive sensor; you can drive a small contactor or pilot valve directly without an interposing relay.
Where this sensor fits — and where it doesn't
A closer second-source in terms of form factor is the E2BS08KS02MCB120OMS from the E2B series: flush M8 stainless, 2 mm sensing, 1.5 kHz. But that one outputs PNP, while this sensor is listed as "Make Contact (NO)" — a 2-wire AC/DC type, not a standard 3-wire DC. Output compatibility must be verified before specing a substitute.
Mounting notes for the panel builder
Body measures 15 × 15 × 39 mm, stainless steel, flush mount. Quiescent current is 16 mA; use a connector rated for IP69K.
