Washdown-rated stainless sensor for hygienic lines
The E2EX2B1TL82MOMS is a stainless-steel inductive proximity sensor from Omron's E2E-Next series, rated for daily CIP washdown with IP69K protection, a 2 mm flush sensing distance, and a PNP normally-open output. Housed in an M8 smooth-body stainless barrel and terminated with a 2 m cable, it survives 85 °C operating temperature and delivers a 1.5 kHz switching frequency — fast enough for counting and positioning on high-speed packaging lines. The flush mounting means the sensor face is level with the surrounding metal, protecting it from impact and allowing installation in tight spaces without sacrificing sensing range.
Cable vs connector: when to choose the sibling
The closest functional peer is the E2BS08KS02MCB120OMS: same flush M8 stainless body, same 2 mm range, same 1.5 kHz switching and PNP NO output, but terminated with an M8 3-pin connector instead of a 2 m cable. The critical difference is ingress protection: the E2EX2B1TL82MOMS carries IP67, IP67G, and IP69K ratings, while the connector-based sibling is IP67 only. For hygienic washdown zones, the cable version is the one to specify.
Integration notes for panel builders
Flush-mount into an M8 clearance hole; the 2 m cable exits straight. Overall length is 47.8 mm. Operates on 10–30 VDC, draws 16 mA quiescent, and switches loads up to 200 mA. Ensure the PLC input is PNP-compatible and the supply is DC, as AC is not supported.
