Inductive sensor for washdown lines
The Omron E2EX2B28M5OMS is an M8 flush-mount inductive sensor tuned for high-speed detection in wet environments, switching at 1.5 kHz with a PNP normally-closed output. The stainless steel housing and IP69K rating let it shrug off the spray and caustic washdown cycles common on beverage lines. Senses 2 mm flush, draws 16 mA from the supply, and switches loads up to 200 mA.
vs E2BS08KS02MCB120OMS – what changes for a swap
Against the E2BS08KS02MCB120OMS – same M8, same 2 mm sensing, same 1.5 kHz, same 200 mA load. But that part is normally-open (NO): the E2EX2B28M5OMS is normally-closed (NC). If your line uses NC for missing-bottle detection, the E2BS won't drop in without rewiring the input logic. The temperature range on the E2EX2B28M5OMS is wider (-40 to 85 °C) versus -25 to 70 °C on the E2BS, and the IP69K seal handles high-pressure washdown that IP67 alone might not sustain.
Sourcing and lifecycle position
The E2E-Next series is the successor platform to older families for high-reliability sensing in harsh environments.
