The Omron E2EX2MC182M is a stainless steel M8 threaded inductive proximity sensor from the E2E NEXT series, rated IP67, IP67G, and IP69K — so it survives high-pressure washdown and cutting-oil exposure in machine tool environments. Its unshielded sensing face delivers a 2 mm detection range on ferrous metals, and the NPN normally-open output switches loads up to 200 mA at 10–30 VDC.
The 2 m prewired cable with bare-wire termination simplifies panel entry — no separate connector to spec. Wire the three conductors (brown, blue, black) to the PLC input card: NPN sinking logic, normally open. An integral LED indicator gives visual confirmation of target presence, and the cable protector resists chafing where the cable exits the sensor body.
