What it is, and what it does
The E2EX4B2L12M1OMS is an E2E-Next flush-mount inductive sensor in an M12 barrel. It switches at 1 kHz, sensing 4 mm through a PNP normally-closed contact. The M12 4-pin connector carries the 10–30 VDC supply and handles loads up to 200 mA. The brass nickel-plated housing is rated IP67/IP69K, so it tolerates high-pressure washdown environments. At 70 mm long, it fits standard M12 proximity mounts.
How it compares to cable and NO siblings
Cross-referencing against the cable-terminated E2EX4B2L122MOMS (2 m pigtail, IP67G): the sensing core is identical — same flush mount, 4 mm range, PNP NC, same voltage and switching frequency. The termination is the fork — M12 connector vs. 2 m cable. That's a panel-wiring change, not a sensing performance difference. The normally-open sibling E2EX4B1TL12M1OMS uses the same M12 connector body and 70 mm length; swap output logic at the PLC input or add an interposing relay to invert.
Mounting and integration
Flush-mount the M12 barrel with sensor face 4 mm from target. The M12 connector requires a mating cordset with a 4-pin female connector. Brass housing needs no special tools. IP69K rating holds up to high-pressure washdown, so it fits in food or washdown zones without additional shrouding.
