Sensor setup for a panel job
The Omron E2EX4C1122MOMS is an inductive proximity sensor from the E2E-Next series, rated for 4 mm flush sensing distance and NPN normally open output. It comes with a 2 m cable termination, so plan for a gland or cable entry—no connector to snap on. The housing is brass nickel plated, making it suitable for environments where mechanical durability and occasional oil contact matter. The protection rating covers IP67 (temporary immersion and dust) plus IP67G (oil resistance test) and IP69K (high-pressure washdown). If your panel sees caustic wash cycles, this sensor holds up where standard IP67 units won't.
Ratings that decide the fit
Sensing distance is 4 mm flush mount. Switching frequency is 1 kHz, suitable for conveyor and cam position detection. Operating temperature spans -40 °C to 85 °C, giving headroom for outdoor enclosures or near ovens. The load switching is rated to 200 mA DC—enough to drive a PLC input or a small relay directly.
