Sourcing & Fit
E2EX4MB1TL82MOMS is an active-production E2E-Next M8 inductive proximity sensor — non-flush, 4 mm sensing range, PNP normally-open output, with a 2 m cable termination. Current lifecycle stage means you can quote it into a BOM line without worrying about a last-time-buy window. Runs on 10–30 VDC, draws 16 mA quiescent, and switches 200 mA loads up to 1 kHz. The stainless steel housing holds IP67, IP67G (with gasket) and IP69K — that top rating covers high-pressure, high-temperature washdown cycles common in food or pharmaceutical lines. Length 47.8 mm — slightly longer than some M8 cans, so check the bracket depth if you're swapping into a tight existing mount point.
How It Differs from the E2B Flush-Mount Sibling
The common cross-shop candidate is E2BS08KS02MCB120OMS — an E2B-series M8, but it's flush-mount with 2 mm sensing, a narrower temperature window (-25 to +70 °C), and only IP67. The E2E-Next here is non-flush (so you need more standoff from steel), offers twice the sensing distance (4 mm), reaches down to -40 °C and up to +85 °C, and adds IP69K. If your current panel was wired for a flush-mount sensor and uses the metal face as the target, the non-flush of this one won't work without adjusting the bracket. But if the installation already provides that clearance, you get better reach and washdown resilience.
Lifecycle & Supply
Designated as current production — no PCN or phase-out signal. The E2E-Next series is Omron's standard mid-range inductive line, and this variant is widely specified. Lead time depends on volume; we can quote firm dates against an RFQ.
Mounting & Wiring Notes
Non-flush mount: keep a shielded zone around the face per the datasheet's recommended standoff — typically about twice the sensing distance (8 mm free metal). The 2 m PVC cable comes with bare flying leads; strip and terminate to a screw clamp or M8 pigtail if you need a quick-disconnect on the panel door. Operating range covers -40 to +85 °C, so it lives in cold storage aisles or near ovens without derating. PNP NO output sinks to ground when the target is present — watch the load current stays under 200 mA continuous; the sensor itself only draws 16 mA from the supply.
