What you're getting
The Omron E2EX7T12MOMS is a current-production M18 flush-mount inductive sensor. It detects ferrous targets up to 7 mm away at 500 Hz, with a simple NO dry-contact output rated for 100 mA at 10–30 VDC. The brass housing is IP67, and the 2 m cable is pre-attached – no connector to buy. Body dimensions are 29 mm square by 43 mm deep. The M18 threaded body fits standard panel holes.
How it compares to the 12 mm counterpart
Another variant, E2EX8B3D182MOMS, offers 8 mm range with both NO and NC contacts and a wider temperature range (-40 to +85 °C) but needs 20 mA supply current. For standard indoor machine build, the 7 mm part keeps the circuit simple and the supply budget tight.
Mounting & wiring note
Flush mount allows the sensor face to be level with the mounting surface. The M18 body has a 2 m cable. The output is rated for 100 mA. Repeat accuracy is 10 % of the 7 mm sensing distance.
