Product details

The E2EZ-X8B1 is an Omron E2E-series shielded inductive proximity sensor in a standard M30 threaded cylinder. It switches a PNP-NO load when a metal target enters the 8mm sensing window. Supply it from 10 to 30 VDC and the 3-wire cable brings 2m of lead length, enough for most junction box drops. Rated IP67 so it handles washdown and coolant spray in machine tool environments, but keep the cable gland sealed. The 8 Hz response frequency limits it to slower conveyor stops and presence detection; not suited for high-speed cam counting.

Wiring note

Three-wire PNP-NO: brown to +VDC, blue to 0V, black is the normally-open output that goes high when a target is present. No pull-up needed; the output is active-high. The LED indicator on the barrel gives local status for commissioning.
