The Omron E2FX5Y12MOMS is an M18 flush-mount inductive proximity sensor from the E2F series, rated for 5 mm sensing distance at 600 Hz switching frequency. Unusually for an M18 sensor, it operates from 20 to 264 VAC/DC, making it suitable for both AC and DC control circuits without needing a separate sensor supply. The NO output switches up to 300 mA, sufficient for direct interface with PLC inputs or small relays. With a 24 mm square body and flush-mount design, this sensor can be installed in crowded panels or machine frames without protruding, and its IP67 rating handles washdown and coolant environments. Rated from -25°C to 70°C, it works in freezers or warm enclosures. Sensor electronics draw only 5 mA, keeping the control loop load low.
