Omron E2K-X15MY1 is a capacitive proximity sensor from the E2K-X series, built to detect materials through non-metallic walls or containers without contact. It runs on 90-250 V AC with an SCR output wired normally open, so it's a direct replacement for AC control circuits. The 15 mm sensing distance is unshielded, meaning it can be flush- or non-flush-mounted—plan for the full 15 mm if embedding into a steel bracket. Rated to IP66 and NEMA 1/4/12/13, so it handles washdown and dust without a secondary enclosure. Plastic body, 2 m prewired cable with bare ends—no connector to source separately. No sensitivity adjustment needed (the series feature), which cuts commissioning time. Just mount, power up, and verify the target presence.
