The Omron E2S-W23 3M is a flat-profile Module case inductive proximity sensor in the E2S series. It senses at 2.5 mm (0.098 in) and provides a clean NPN-NO, 3-wire output. Rated IP67 with a 10-30 V supply and 1 kHz response frequency, it is built for standard presence detection on a panel or machine.
Fit and wiring
3-wire NPN-NO output sinks when target enters the 2.5 mm sensing zone. The 3-meter cable leads terminate to your PLC or I/O block — no connector to swap. Supply 10-30 VDC, unshielded body means no ferrite core for most installations. Housing is plastic; torque to chassis with standard M3 screws through the slot. Switch frequency holds at 1 kHz — adequate for fast pick-and-place or counting lines. IP67 keeps it safe in washdown or chip-laden environments down to -25 °C.
