The Omron E32-D24 is a diffuse plastic fiber optic cable, 2 m long, with a 5/64 in diameter cylindrical pin tip. Cable diameter is 2 mm, beam diameter is 2 mm, fiber core is plastic, and sheath is polyethylene. Sensing range is 9 cm maximum in diffuse mode, and the minimum detectable object is 0.005 mm diameter, suited for detecting very small parts in tight spaces. Operating temperature range is -40 °F to 158 °F, covering most industrial environments. Sensing orientation is side-view, meaning the fiber tip is bent to emit and receive light from the side.
