What this fibre optic sensor brings
The Omron E32D612M is a fibre optic sensor from the E32 series, built for environments that melt standard inductive switches. It reads through a fibre cable with a 270 mm sensing distance, and the operating temperature range spans -60 to 350 °C — so you can mount the electronics away from the heat and run the fibre to the hot zone. IP67 sealing and a 2 m cable make it safe for washdown or outdoor cabinets. No moving parts, no internal electronics at the sensing tip — just glass or plastic fibre that survives where a conventional proximity head would fail.
Installation note
The 2 m cable is pre-attached and IP67 sealed — no field termination required at the sensor end. The fibre optic head is separate (not included with this part number); select an appropriate E32 sensing head for the target material and distance. Mount the amplifier body in a cool cabinet; the fibre cable handles the high temperature to the sensing point.
