Sensor type and sensing range
The E32DC200B2MCHN: This is a diffuse reflective fibre optic sensor — the emitter and receiver are in the same head, and it detects objects by the light reflected back from the target surface. The rated sensing distance is 900 mm, which is the maximum for a standard white paper target under ideal conditions; real-world range depends on target colour, texture, and ambient light. Part of the E32 Miniature series, it is designed for tight spaces where a standard photoelectric barrel won't fit. The fibre cable routes through cable glands or along machine frames, and the amplifier is mounted remotely in the control cabinet.
Environmental and mechanical fit
Rated IP67, so the sensor head and the first few metres of cable withstand washdown, dust, and temporary submersion — suitable for food processing, packaging, or outdoor conveyor lines where the sensor sees moisture or cleaning chemicals. The 5 m cable is pre-attached; no connector to mate or seal. Operating temperature range is -40 °C to 70 °C, covering freezer applications and hot production zones near ovens or dryers.
