What this 520 mm diffuse reflective sensor covers
The Omron E32LD11R2M is a diffuse reflective fibre optic sensor from the E32 Miniature series. It detects objects up to 520 mm away without a separate reflector — the target itself returns the light. That 520 mm range is the maximum for a standard white target; real-world distance on dark or angled surfaces will be shorter, so budget 60-70% of that for a reliable detection window on a production line.
Cable and temperature limits for panel fit
Termination is a 2 m cable — no quick-disconnect, so the sensor is a permanent install. The cable jacket needs to be routed clear of hot surfaces and moving parts; the 2 m length gives enough slack for a junction box or terminal strip inside the panel.
