The Omron E3A2-DS70M4T is a diffuse reflective photoelectric sensor with a 700 mm sensing range, using a pulse modulated infrared LED at 950 nm. It accepts a wide supply range — 24 … 240 V AC or 12 … 240 V DC — so it works on both line voltage and low-voltage DC control circuits without an extra power module. The IP66 enclosure handles washdown environments, and the light-ON / dark-ON selector saves you from stocking two variants.
The sensor has a 700 mm range, universal voltage (24-240 VAC / 12-240 VDC), IP66 plastic housing, and adjustable 0.1-5 s response time.
Mounting and wiring check
Mounting is side surface with two through holes; the E39-L34 bracket and hardware are included in the box. Wiring goes to the terminal block inside the housing. Response time is adjustable via a potentiometer (0.1 … 5 s). The light-ON / dark-ON selector is a physical switch; set it before closing the lid. No separate power supply needed if your control voltage falls within the universal range. Keep the 950 nm infrared LED in mind when selecting backgrounds — shiny surfaces can cause false reflections at close range.
